David Wardell is an award winning documentary filmmaker and television field producer. He is currently a freelance Field Producer with the Network 10 news and comedy program, The Project, and the Australian correspondent for the Netherlands based VPRO television program, Metropolis.
He has extensive experience working in participatory media facilitation and workshop design having worked with big hArt on the Ngapartji Ngapartji Project, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image Digital Storytelling Program and the Wakikirri initiative, creating content with remote indigenous communities in the Northern Territory and Western Australia
In 2008 he was awarded the National Geographic Documentary Scholarship.

His work has been broadcast on Network 10 Australia, VPRO Netherlands, National Geographic Channel, ABC Australia, Rocketboom.com and Link TV.
